Attention All Engineering & Science Students
The Mascaro Sustainability Initiative
announces new programs in Sustainable Engineering.
Research
The MSI programs in sustainable engineering catalyze and encourage multi-disciplinary and collaborative research to tackle the broad topic of sustainable engineering. Research conducted under the auspices of MSI includes projects on greening the built environment, more sustainable use of water, and the design of distributed power systems.
Why Sustainable Engineering
Dwindling natural resources mean that engineers of the 21st century, more than ever before, must be conscious of environmental constraints. MSI has created several new programs to help train the next generation of engineers to think green.
Engineers must understand that the world is a finite place with finite resources, and next generation products and processes must be designed within the framework of this complex system. These programs engage a diverse and talented group of students to translate the fundamental science of sustainability into real products and processes.
