When calculating the cumulative GPA, the letter grade assigned for the later course will then replace the previously assigned grade, though the original grade will not be removed from the student's transcript. No sequence course may be repeated for credit after a higher-numbered sequence course has been satisfactorily completed with a "C" or better. For the purpose of this rule, grades "R" or "W" do not count as repeats.
