He directed the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Science at Duquesne University where he was an Associate Professor, teaching physics. Mark received the Ranawat Award, 2001 Knee Society research award from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for, "A Justification for the Use of the Epicondylar Axis for Femoral Component Rotation in TKA".
