Professional Interests

Richard S. Dougall's areas of interest are fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and the modeling of thermal systems. He is particularly interested in boiling heat transfer, multiphase flow, and flow in porous media.

Curriculum Vitae

Dougall joined the department in 1963 upon completing his graduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dougall has served as a consultant to many companies and government organizations. He has supervised 11 PhD theses and over 25 master's theses. He is a member of ANS, ASME, ASEE, and ASHRAE.
