Prospective Students
Who are Machinists?
Do you like to work with your hands?
Are you a problem solver, a puzzle doer?
Life-long machinists tell us that it's not just
a job- it's a vocation, a way of life. Far from finding the work tedious, most master Machinists love the challenge, and spend many satisfying hours solving puzzles in order to get the job done.
Our comprehensive program begins with
the two primary skills you will need:
Math Class and Shop Class.
In Math class, you will cover the Algebra, Trig, Print Reading, Conversions and Tolerance skills that you will need to create precise parts in the shop.
In the shop, you'll apply the mathematic, the measuring and the print reading skills you learned in the classroom.
In order to successfully do the work in our Math Classroom, you will need a solid understanding of fractions, decimals and basic arithmetic- we'll teach you everything else.
