CSSD Account Information
CSSD (Computing Services and
Systems Development) issues an account to every student, faculty member
and staff member when they first become associated with the University.
These accounts are normally initials taken from a person's name followed
by a sequentially increasing number. These accounts are created as
primary accounts, meaning that they can be used on any CSSD system and
reflect that the account holder is an active student or employee.
After this relationship is terminated the account will function
approximately two weeks and then be eliminated. If an account
holder wishes to maintain his or her account it is possible to request a
sponsored account which will allow continued access to most campus
resources. Obtaining a sponsored account requires that your
department request your account remain active as a sponsored account and
it is the account holders responsibility to speak with their
departmental staff to maintain a sponsored account.
Of particular note: Printing
services are unavailable to sponsored account holders.
