Faculty Lisa M. Maillart - Assistant Professor
- Education: Ph.D. (Industrial and Operations Engineering, 2001): University of Michigan
- Areas of Expertise: Stochastic Optimization, Maintenance Optimization, Medical Decision Making
Dr. Maillart joined the faculty in 2006. She completed her B.S. and M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech and her Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan.
Prior to joining the Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Maillart was a faculty member in the Department of Operations at Case's Weatherhead School of Management.
Dr. Maillart's primary research interest is in decision making under uncertainty. Her research typically involves applications of Markov decision processes and stochastic processes to problems in maintenance optimization, medical decision making, sports and entrepreneurship.
