  • The department of Industrial Engineering develops an International Requirement beginning with the 2007-2008 undergraduate sophmores.
  • The Holzman Learning Center, a state-of-the-art instructional facility opened in the Fall of 2008. This facility is reserved for the use of the Indutrial Engineering Department and almost all I.E. classes will be taught here. The formal dedication took place on Friday, Oct 3, 2008. Check out the January issue of Industrial Engineering for a report.
  • Roman Hlutkowsky, Senior VP, Human Resources, FedEx Ground, and an alumnus of the Indutrial Engineering Department (BSIE, 1980, MSIE, 1983) is the new president-elect of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). Roman is also a past recipient of the department's distinguished alumnus award (in 2003). Congrats Roman!
