Title: Lean Manager
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Company X is developing a corporate Lean Manufacturing team to support its Operations Excellence Initiative.  This will be a team that will consist of full time employees at both the sites and traveling from site to site to be immersed in LEAN manufacturing deployment methods, training, and tools.  They will conduct actual improvement activities on the factory floor and will be taught by LEAN Masters from a globally recognized consultant group.

Position Summary:
This position reports to a Site Plant Manager.  This individual will be assigned to a specific plant or plants to partner with the Plant Manager and their entire team to be an internal expert with the full range of Lean Manufacturing tools.  They will champion the implementation of Lean Manufacturing within the site and will be accountable for using Lean techniques to increase employee engagement to establish a culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination.  They will work with the entire site to lead and drive plant improvement initiatives. 

Support other plant projects to insure lean solutions.   Incumbent is expected to work extensively as an active participant as well as facilitator of teams that are working to eliminate waste in their work processes.  Measure and monitor results of improvement efforts and drive daily performance meetings until they are led by the shop floor associates.
