Pittsburgh Chapter
WELCOME!
Welcome
to the home page for the Pittsburgh Chapter of The Institute of Industrial
Engineers (IIE). Pittsburgh is a vibrant city and our chapter
boasts a membership of over 150 individuals. Some of the companies
represented include H.B.Maynard & Co., Alcoa, US AIrways, PNC Bank,
Mellon, UPS, FedEx Ground, Re-Engineering Services, Inc., Rockwell Software,
Columbia Gas, ADC, Spear Technologies and Mine Safety Appliances.
In addition, Pittsburgh boasts several world class educational institutions,
including the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and
Duquesne University. IIE is actively involved with these institutions and
also sponsors a student chapter
at Pitt.
Chapter
meetings are held every month and typically include a plant tour followed
by dinner. If you are an Industrial Engineer, or your job functions
relate to Industrial Engineering we urge you to join us - an online membership
application form is available for your convenience. Great learning
experiences, networking opportunities, and career advancement, all contribute
to the personal and professional enrichment that you will experience as
an IIE member!
