Seminar F.A.Q.
- Do we have to register for seminar attendance every semester?
- No.
- I’m a [fresh,soph,jun,sen], but I missed the last seminar. Can I go to another class’s seminar?
- You can go to any ECE seminar you please. Just make sure you attend at least six throughout the semester.
- Hi, I got a new ID card so it might not work.
- If you get a new ID card, it is your responsibility to notify the IEEE by email by the next seminar. This means that if you do not have your account updated two seminars after you receive a new ID card, the IEEE will not be responsible for manually entering your name.
- My ID is kind of messed up so it might not work.
- If your ID card is broken and does not scan, it is your responsibility to get a new one.
- I went to seminar that week but it isn’t showing up when I check my attendance.
- You have two weeks to notify the IEEE of an attendance discrepancy. The IEEE will ask for verification (be creative) if a discrepancy is reported more than two weeks after the said seminar.
- I sent you guys an email but there is still a problem, don’t make me come up there.
- If you can provide documentation that you sent the IEEE emails, yet there is still a discrepancy in attendance, we will take care of it and probably apologize for the inconvenience. You might want to come up to Benedum 444 if you aren’t getting replies within 5 business days.
- What is the IEEE website/email address?
- I suggest that if you are reading this now, save it to your favorites so you never have to ask that question.
- My ID number is missing the last few digits on the attendance record.
- Correct, the attendance record truncates the last few digits of your 2P number.
