Welcome to the website of the Eta Kappa Nu, Beta Delta Chapter at the University of Pittsburgh.
Established in 1904 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Eta Kappa Nu, or HKN, carries distinction as the only Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society. Our Beta Delta Chapter, which was founded in 1937, is among the oldest in existence. Many of our inductees over the course of our history have developed in leaders of the community and the engineering profession as a whole.
Membership into HKN is by invitation only. In order to qualify, candidates must be in the top 1/4 of the Junior class or top 1/3 of the Senior class in Electrical / Computer Engineering. Induction ceremonies are held biannually during the Spring and Fall terms.
For information about our chapter, or the HKN organization at large, please refer to our helpful directory to the left. Should you wish to contact us, feel free to e-mail the current Beta-Delta President, or visit our office in 444 Benedum Hall.
