Gearing Up for a Successful Future: The SAE Race Car Endowment
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) University of Pittsburgh Race Car Team at the School of Engineering has undertaken a special fundraising initiative to endow a fund that will cover our travel expenses to the Formula SAE competition in Pontiac, Michigan each May. Preparation for the competition reinforces classroom learning through hands-on experience. Student members produce a prototype car for evaluation as a potential production item and compete against more than 130 universities from around the globe. The ability to succeed at the competitions does depend partially on the amount we have to spend on the production of the vehicle each year. Travel to the competition adds to the expense for the group, thus taking away from what we can spend on the vehicle. This fund will help alleviate that concern. We have donated and we invite you to help future members by visiting Pitt’s secure online giving site and choosing the “Other” allocation. Please designate your gift to the SAE Race Car Endowment. Please click here to make your gift.

The Panther Racing Formula SAE team would like to thank all of its sponsors for their generous contributions. Without your support, our efforts would not be possibile.
