Get InvolvedForget the old stereotypes. Simply because engineers excel in mathematics and science doesn’t mean they’re doomed to a life of Coke-bottle glasses and calculators clipped to their belts. At Pitt, students take a different approach. Our diverse student population gets involved. Just look at what some of our students enjoy: clubs or religious organizations, intramural sports, Big East football and basketball games, the University band, and city of Pittsburgh sports teams and cultural activities. No matter what your interests are, there’s a chance for everyone to have a life outside of the classroom. Engineers’ WeekPitt’s School of Engineering is a tight-knit community. Some say we’re in our own little world, but we’re just doing our thing.—Mary Higgins
