North Oakland Pedestrian Hazard Mapping

Problem Statement:

Pedestrians in Oakland more often than not encounter various and sundry hazards on the commute from one place to another. We systematically combed the North Oakland streets, carefully recording—both in pictures and detailed written descriptions—present pedestrian dangers. Having identified the risks, we then evaluted and proposed ways in which to overcome them. We also involved the city and community, as well to promote pedestrian and vehicular traveler awareness
