Facility Blueprint Development

Problem Statement:

CHSC is located on Lawn Street in the South Oakland neighborhood. It's fundamental mission is the revitalization of the Oakland neighborhoods which it works towards by providing a variety of neighborhood services. These services not only aim to assist local youth, families, and the homeless, but also serve to forge relationships and lines of communitcation between long time residents and newer residents affiliated with the universities.

The CHSC facility has evolved from two previously existing structures that were combined and added on to over time resulting in a multilevel structure with an unusual multifaceted floor plan. CHSC does not have blueprints to the building, which makes optimizing and reconfiguring the work spaces very difficult. They would like to improve on theri office spaces, lack of storage, poor parking, and privacy of the staff.

Our team was assigned the task of mapping out the CHSC building and generating blueprints. We accomplished this by systematically recording measurements of the floor dimensions and elevations then creating digital blueprints.
