ECE 2235 - Monolithic Integrated Circuits

Fabrication of integrated silicon monolithic circuits, thermal oxidation, solid state diffusion, epitaxial growth, ion implantation, photo and electron lithography, design considerations, active and passive elements in monolithic blocks, surface effects.

ECE 1247 - Semiconductor Device Theory

The courses introduces the basic concepts of energy bands, carrier statistics, carrier transport, and the principles and characteristics of semiconductor devices. Conceptual understanding of device physics and operation principles is emphasized.

ECE 2295 - Nanosensor

This course is designed to provide an understanding of the scientific and technical aspects of the new nanotechnology and to enable students to contribute to the rapidly developing nanotechnology information. The course is a research-oriented course that aims to introduce graduate level students to nanoscale devices created from a range of nanomaterials including carbon nanotubes (CNTs), nanoparticles (NPs), and nanowires (NWs)

ENGR 0240 - Nanotechnology & Nanoengineering

This research-oriented course is a multidisciplinary course taught by a faculty team including a professor of electrical engineering and a professor of chemistry. The course introduces nanoscale devices created from a range of nanomaterials including Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs), Nanoparticles (NPs), and Nanowires (NWs). Theories of operation, fabrication techniques and applications of nanodevices will be discussed. The course combines lecture, laboratory work, and web-supported project-based learning.
