Undergraduate Student Researchers:

  • Thought Decoder (Senior Design 2007 Fall)

Students: Jake Denne, Tewordros Tesfaye, Ryan Sloan,

               Co-Advisor: Dr. Mingui Sun

The objective of this project was to design and implement a thought decoding system to reproduce simple human motor functions.  A thought decoding system is a device that is used to obtain, analyze, and store electroencephalography (EEG) signals.  It is composed of several electronic devices that help acquire and transform the EEG signal.  This transformed signal can then be viewed, analyzed, and stored onto a computer.

  • Biochemical Monitoring Using NanoFilter Arrays: (Senior Design 2007 Fall)

Students: Adam Balawegder, Mark Szymecki, Amy Gromen Kevin Marnik

The objective is to develop signal processing algorithms aiming to enhance primitive nano         filter arrays for spectrophotometric devices.
