Research Interests

Jun Yang received her PhD degree from the Computer Science Department, The University of Arizona. Priot to joining Pitt in Fall 2006, she was an assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering at University of California, Riverside from 2002 to 2006. Dr. Yang has received a best paper award in ICCD 2007, and co-authored a paper that was nominated for best paper award in HPCA-15, 2009. Dr. Yang is a receipient of NSF CAREER award in 2008. She is a member of ACM and IEEE.

Jun Yang's research interests include computer architecture, microprocessors, power and thermal management techniques, memory hierarchy, chip multiprocessors, network-on-chip, and 3D chip integration. Specifically, her recent projects have focused on network topoloties for 3D chips, new memory technologies, process variations and 3D NUCA management, reliability, and thermal management for CMPs.
