Course Textbook:

· Fundamentals of Electromagnetics with Engineering Applications by S. M. Wentworth, Wiley, ISBN 0-471-26355-9  

· Notes on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) will be provided

· All announcements, handouts, assignments, and solutions are available online.

Assignments:

10 assignments, assignments should be handed in one week later on the Tuesday’s lecture.

Marking Scheme … Final marks (unofficial) available 3 days after the final.

Assignment	15% (~55 homework questions)
Quiz #1	20% (5 questions): Math review, 5 lectures
Quiz #2	20% (5 questions): Electrostatics, 6 lectures
Project Final Exam	15%  (Tentatively) 40% (6 questions)

Total:                  110%

The final score is the sum of scores from quizzes, assignments, and the final, there is no curve.

Letter grades:

A+: 95%-110%               A: 90%-94%              A-: 85%-89%                            

B+: 80%-84%                 B: 76%-79%               B-: 70%-75%                            

C: 65%-69%                              

D: 60%-65%                             

F: 0%-59.9%       

Policy:

• No late withdrawal
• Make-up exams can only be arranged with a 48-hour notice before exams and with valid proofs
• Appeal of your grade can be made within 7 days when it becomes available
• Under NO circumstance, a F grade can be changed to a passing grade once it is assigned
