Course Description & Objectives

In this 3-credit graduate-level/advanced undergraduate-level course, we will explore more advanced concepts and design techniques of high-performance embedded computer system. Topics may include, but are not limited to, distributed embedded architectures and networks, modern high-performance embedded CPU architectures and advanced CPU mechanisms, multiprocessor architectures, and multiprocessor software.

Prerequisite

ECE 2161 or ECE 1161 or by the instructor's permission.
Basic digital system design knowledge (e.g., ECE/CoE 0142) is assumed.
Proficient programming skills in C/C++ or Verilog/VHDL is assumed.
