The Co-op Process How to Apply

Required Paperwork

  • Approved Co-Op Schedule.    This will show your alternating work and school rotations.  You should see your co-op advisor for assistance on this.
  • Interest Form.
  • 1 Hard Copy of Your Resume.  (A copy of your finalized Resume should be e-mailed to JFB23@pitt.edu or CAF54@pitt.edu.    Stop into our offices if you need assistance with your resume preparation!)  Sample Resume
  • 1 recent unofficial transcript (Go to G-3 Thackeray to get free copies.)

Each applicant must submit the necessary paperwork which is listed above.    

Students apply to the Co-op Program at least one semester before they begin their rotations.    There are application deadlines for every term. The deadlines for application are roughly as follows:

  • Spring Co-op: End of September
  • Summer Co-op: End of January
  • Fall Co-op: End of May

These deadlines are established with the student's best interests in mind. It is still possible for a student to apply after the deadline, however, this student will have missed out on opportunities which were availed to students who made the application deadline.
