The Co-op ProcessOnce you have submitted all of the necessary paperwork (interest form, schedule, resume and transcript), we will begin sending your resume out to all companies for which you qualify. When we send out your resume, we will take into consideration the following: your department, your availability, your geographic limitations (or your lack of restrictions as to where you will accept a co-op position) and your GPA (if the company requires a specific GPA). Further regarding your GPA ... you need to have a 2.0 or better to qualify for the program. If you have a particular interest within your major, we always want to know that ... you can indicate it on the Interest Form. However, we still will send your resume out to as many companies as possible within your major in that we don't like to limit your opportunities. Also, we have a job fair each fall term and another one in the spring. It is very important that you attend these job fairs! At our fall fair, we usually have approximately 75 companies and at our spring fair we will have approximately 40 employers. This is a great opportunity for you to meet many co-op employers face to face !!! |
One of the most exciting opportunities available to students.
