FedEx Ground has had a long-standing and outstanding relationship with the Swanson School of Engineering’s Co-op Program and the University of Pittsburgh! Through this program they have hired many full-time individuals as well. They are very deserving of the recognition! ________________________________________________________ 2008 CO-OP STUDENT OF THE YEAR KALEIGH MULLER We are proud to announce our Co-op Student of the Year for 2008, Kaleigh Muller, industrial engineering department, and co-op student with UPS Customer Solutions!
During Kaleigh’s tenure at UPS, she acted as lead engineer on a layout redesign, taught industrial engineering principles at a local technical vocational school, and worked during her fourth co-op rotation on an international project, where she assisted a European company with the consolidation of their warehouses. Kaleigh also received a $4000 scholarship from the Freeman Asia Foundation towards participation in Pitt in China 2008 to examine ethnic relations between Mongolian and Chinese citizens. In addition, she served as Engineering Student Council President and also is very active thru Tau Beta Pi with Family House. Kaleigh was also selected to work on key research projects at UPMC, taught a summer course through the CARE program, is a teaching assistant, and marathon runner! She will also graduate from the Swanson School with highest honors, and has accepted a full-time offer with Walt Disney World. We congratulate Kaleigh and wish her the very best in the national competition for Co-op Student of the Year.

All of these students will be presented with plaques at the Co-op Dinner and Reception on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the PAA.
