Professional Interests

Mark J. Magalotti, P.E. is the founder and Principal-in-Charge of Trans Associates Engineering Consultants, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based civil engineering consulting firm specializing in transportation planning and design. Mr. Magalotti received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and has concentrated his years of experience in the transportation engineering field.

He has been an adjunct faculty member of the University of Pittsburgh Civil Engineering Department, authored or co-authored nine publications, and been a guest speaker for various organizations presenting on topics including traffic impact studies, traffic calming, Pennsylvania impact fees, and congestion management. Mr. Magalotti is an active member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), and is the current President of the Pennsylvania section of the American Council of Engineering Consultants (ACEC/PA).
