Admissions Graduate GREsAll departments in the Swanson School of Engineering (except for Materials Science and Engineering) require applicants to submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores. GRE scores are useful in combination with other materials submitted for admission. Departments typically do not establish minimum scores below which applicants are automatically denied admission.
It is important that you call to our attention any discrepancies that may exist between your name as reported on your application and as recorded on your GRE score. Make sure to take the GRE in time for the official score to be reported to the school by the application deadline. It is widely recognized that GRE scores of students outside the United States, particularly those whose native language is not English, may be affected by language and cultural difficulties. This is taken into consideration in evaluating such students’ admissions applications by departments requiring GRE exams. For further information on the GRE, contact: Educational Testing Service |
